James Bond Fancy Dress

by FancyDressGuru

James Bond Fancy dress is probably one of the easiest themes to dress up for. It is perfect for cocktail parties and any occasion you want to celebrate with a bit of glamour and style.

There are so many characters to choose from across all the Bond films that have been made throughout the decades that you won’t be stuck for ideas.

The most obvious Bond fancy dress idea for boys is to dress up as James Bond himself, in either a dinner jacket and black tie or a suit accessorised with a shoulder holster and plastic spy pistol. You could even take things a little further and wear a Sean Connery Latex Mask.

The easiest costume ideas for ladies is Bond girl fancy dress as you can either choose a specific Bond girl or simply dress up in a glamorous cocktail dress of any style or colour. If you want to really stand out you could wear a white bikini and hold a conch shell as first Bond girl Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress) in Dr. No, or you could wear an orange bikini as later Bond girl Jinx (Halle Berry) did in Die Another Day.

Another stunning Bond girls fancy dress outfit idea to make you really stand out from the crowd is to go as the gold painted body of Jill Masterson (Shirley Eaton) in Goldfinger by wearing a metallic gold body hugging Cat suit.

Other Bond fancy dress ideas include 007’s infamous liking for Martini’s “shaken not stirred” so ladies you could wear a Martini Dress, a dress that brings new meaning to the term cocktail dress.

If you are going to a James Bond fancy dress party as a couple you could base your matching outfits on the recent fantastic Daniel Craig film Casino Royale and go with a casino theme. Boys can dress as a Card Dealer in a Novelty Card Dealer costume featuring vest with built-in shirt, visor with $100 bills, armbands and watch chain with lucky charms. The girl’s outfit is a Spin & Win novelty roulette table mini dress with a hat. Or add a gold coloured mini top hat with dice appliqué and green satin bow.

Any James Bond fancy dress costumes can of course be based on one of the many Bond villains including Jaws, Blowfeld, Oddbod, Scaramanga, Dr. No or Le Chiffre. There are many accessories you can add to your Bond characters fancy dress costume to make a good Bond villain or a Bond girl including a Smith 45 Special Agent, a realistic looking adult size gun made from Die Cast Metal (for adults only, not for children), a black shoulder holster to put your gun in, a glamorous wig suited to the era of the chosen film, hats and gadgets.

Bond theme fancy dress parties are great fun for all occasions and there is no end to the ideas for costumes you can create, these are just a few suggested here.

I’m interested in your Martini dress for a James Bond party but it says out of stock. The party is 6th March will it be in stock before then?

Blowfeld is a great one because you can take the Doctor Evil costume and wear that since it’s essentially the same, it was a spoof of the character after all.
